Pack Pros: Germaine Pratt logs career-best tackles performance

In an early season clash with the Kansas City Chiefs, NC State Pack Pro linebacker Germaine Pratt logged a career-best tackles effort, although his team fell just short of a road victory.

Pratt logged 16 total tackles, including seven solo stops, with a tackle for a loss in the defeat. He surpassed his previous career high of 15 tackles, which he set during the 2021 campaign. 

While Pratt had a big day on the field, he was not the only former NC State Pack Pro in action. Here’s a look at the Wolfpack’s NFL players in action from this past weekend.

Pack Pros in the NFL: Week 2

C Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), #56 Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury played all 54 offensive snaps in the Vikings’ 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He earned an 84.4 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus, including an 85.3 run blocking mark. Bradbury allowed just one quarterback pressure in the victory.

QB Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), #14 New England Patriots: Brissett was 15-of-27 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and fellow Pack Pro Drake Thomas. Brissett was sacked three times and posted a 40.2 QBR in the defeat. 

OLB Bradley Chubb (2014-17), #2 Miami Dolphins: Chubb is currently on the Dolphins’ injured reserve and will miss at least the first four games of the 2024 season.

P A.J. Cole III (2015-18), #6 Las Vegas Raiders: Cole logged three punts for 128 total yards in the Raiders’ 26-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He did not record a punt inside the 20-yard line, but Cole had a long of 54 yards in the victory.

DT Cory Durden (2021-22), #98 Los Angeles Rams:.Durden is on the Rams’ practice squad. 

OT Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), #79 Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu logged 48 snaps at left tackle in the Panthers’ 26-3 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He earned a 61.7 overall mark from PFF, including a 58.3 pass blocking grade. Ekwonu gave up just one quarterback pressure and was penalized twice in the defeat.

WR Kelvin Harmon (2016-18), #84 Dallas Cowboys: Harmon is on the Cowboys’ practice squad for the 2024 season. 

DL B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), #92 Cincinnati Bengals: Hill recorded one tackle in the Bengals’ 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. 

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), #22 Cleveland Browns: Hines is still recovering from his season-ending injury suffered last year. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the 2024 season.

S Tanner Ingle (2018-22), #34 Los Angeles Rams: Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

DT Justin Jones (2014-17), #93 Arizona Cardinals: Jones logged one tackle, which was for a loss, with a quarterback hit in the Cardinals’ 41-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams. 

LB Vi Jones (2019-21), #53 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jones is on the Buccaneers’ practice squad for the 2024 season.

CB Robert Kennedy III (2023), #40 Los Angeles Chargers: Kennedy is on the Chargers’ practice squad for the 2024 season. 

DT T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), #96 San Francisco 49ers: McGill is on the 49ers’ practice squad for the 2024 season. 

C Dylan McMahon (2019-23), #_ Los Angeles Rams: McMahon was signed by the Rams off the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. He was inactive for their 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. 

DT Alim McNeill (2018-20), #54 Detroit Lions: McNeill made one tackle, which was for a loss, in the Lions’ 20-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

DT Larrell Murchison (2018-19), #52 Los Angeles Rams: Murchison is currently on the injured reserve and will miss at least the first four weeks of the 2024 season.

K Brayden Narveson (2023), #44 Green Bay Packers: Narveson was 3-for-4 on field goals in the Packers’ 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He hit a long of 46 yards, his best this regular season, while also nailing an extra point in the victory.

LB Germaine Pratt (2014-18), #57 Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt logged a career-best 16 total tackles, including seven solo stops, with a quarterback hit in the Bengals’ 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. 

DE James Smith-Williams (2016-19), #50 Atlanta Falcons: Smith-Williams logged one tackle, which was for a loss, in the Falcons’ 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles alongside fellow Pack Pro Kentavius Street.

DL Kentavius Street (2014-17), #75 Atlanta Falcons: Street played 22 total tackles in the Falcons’ 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He did not record a tackle in the victory.

WR Thayer Thomas (2017-22), #89 Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings practice squad. 

LB Drake Thomas (2019-22), #42 Seattle Seahawks: Thomas played 18 snaps, all on special teams, in the Seahawks’ 23-20 win over the New England Patriots and fellow Pack Pro Jacoby Brissett.

OL Joe Thuney (2012-15), #62 Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney logged 65 snaps at left guard in the Chiefs’ 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He allowed just one quarterback pressure in the victory.

LB Payton Wilson (2018-23), #41 Pittsburgh Steelers: Wilson played 22 total snaps in the Steelers’ 13-6 win over the Denver Broncos. He did not record a tackle in the victory, while he did not allow a reception on one target in pass coverage.

QB Russell Wilson (2007-09, finished at Wisconsin), #3 Pittsburgh Steelers: Wilson did not play in the Steelers’ 13-6 win over the Denver Broncos as he recovers from calf tightness. 

OL Chandler Zavala (2021-22), #62 Carolina Panthers: Zavala played just one snap, a field goal attempt, in the Panthers’ 26-3 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
