Pack Pros: Jakobi Meyers sets single-season touchdown career best

It was the final weekend of the NFL’s regular season slate, which means NC State’s Pack Pros were all in action for their respective teams. It included former NC State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers scoring another touchdown to set a single-season career best.  

Here’s a look at how the Pack Pros did in their games this weekend.

Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), #56 Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury played all 73 offensive snaps in the Vikings’ 30-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. He earned a 66.5 offense mark, including a 70.6 run blocking score, from Pro Football Focus in the defeat.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), #12 Washington Commanders: Brissett did not play in the Commanders’ 38-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. 

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), #2 Miami Dolphins: Chubb did not play in the Dolphins’ 21-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He suffered a torn ACL against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17. 

Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), #6 Las Vegas Raiders: Cole logged four punts for 234 yards with one kick inside the 20-yard line in the Raiders’ 27-14 win over the Denver Broncos. He averaged 58.5 yards per attempt and had a long of 66 in the victory. 

Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), #79 Carolina Panthers: Eweonu played 52 offensive snaps in the Panthers’ 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He earned a 78.1 overall score, including an 81.5 run blocking mark, from PFF in the defeat. 

Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), #16 Chicago Bears: Gill recorded three punts for 137 yards with two kicks inside the 20-yard line in the Bears’ 17-9 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He had an average of 45.7 yards with one touchback and a long of 51. 

Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), #92 Cincinnati Bengals: Hill logged four total tackles, including two solo stops, in the Bengals’ 31-14 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also had 0.5 sacks and a quarterback hit in the victory.

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), #0 Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason. 

Safety Tanner Ingle (2018-22), #34 Los Angeles Rams : Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), #93 Chicago Bears: Jones logged one tackle in the Bears’ 37-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. 

Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.

Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), #28 Detroit Lions: Knight is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. He had one catch for eight yards, and three carries for 13 yards in his two appearances with the Lions this season. 

Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), #44 New York Giants: McCloud logged three tackles, all solo stops, in the Giants’ 27-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), #96 San Francisco 49ers: McHill did not play in the 49ers’ 21-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. 

Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), #54 Detroit Lions: McNeill had one tackle in the Lions’ 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings. He also made a quarterback hit in the contest, which was his first back from injury ahead of the Lions’ upcoming playoff run. 

Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), #16 Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers recorded three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders’ 27-14 win over the Denver Broncos. His 33-yard score was his eighth touchdown of the 2023 campaign, a single-season career best in Meyers’ fifth NFL campaign.. 

Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (2018-19), #52 Los Angeles Rams: Murchison logged one tackle in the Rams’ 21-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers. 

Cornerback Derrek Pitts Jr. (2021-22), #38 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Pitts did not play in the Buccaneers’ 9-0 win at the Carolina Panthers. 

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (2014-18), #57 Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt logged two total tackles, including a solo stop, in the Bengals’ 31-14 win over the Cleveland Browns alongside fellow Pack Pro BJ Hill. 

Defensive end James Smith-Williams (2016-19), #96 Washington Commanders: Smith-Williams logged one tackle in the Commanders’ 38-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street (2014-17), #75 Atlanta Falcons: Street did not play in the Falcons’ 48-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. 

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), #42 Seattle Seahawks: Thomas was placed on the Seahawks’ injured reserve with a knee injury

Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), #89 Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.

Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), #62 Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 25 snaps at left tackle in the Chiefs’ 13-12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. 

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), #11 Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling did not appear in the Chiefs 13-12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. 

Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), #3 Denver Broncos: Wilson did not play in the Broncos’ 27-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), #62 Carolina Panthers: Zavala did not appear in the Panthers’ 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against fellow Pack Pro, Derrek Pitts.
