Pack pros: Zonovan Knight makes Detroit Lions debut
It was another full weekend of NFL football, which means NC State’s Pack pros were all in action for their respective teams, which included running back Zonovan Knight’s debut with the Detroit Lions.
Here’s a look at how the Pack pros did in their games this weekend.
Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury missed his second straight game with a back injury after not passing the team’s pregame tests before the Vikings’ 28-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), Washington Commanders: Brissett is the Commanders’ primary backup, and did not see action in the team’s 37-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), Miami Dolphins: Chubb recorded one tackle in 42 snaps played during the Dolphins’ 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos.
Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Cole punted five times for 262 yards in the Raiders’ 23-18 loss on Sunday night football. He averaged 52.4 yards per punt with a long of 60 yards, and placed one punt inside the 20-yard line.
Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu played 79 snaps in the Panthers’ 37-27 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He earned an overall offensive grade of 24.9, according to Pro Football Focus, in a game full of Pack pros.
Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), Chicago Bears: Gill punted five times for 229 yards in the Bears’ 41-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He averaged 45.8 yards per attempt with a long of 58, while he played one punt inside the 20-yard line.
Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), Cincinnati Bengals: Hill recorded two tackles, including a sack, in the Bengals’ 19-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night football. He also recorded two quarterback hits.
RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason.
Safety Tanner Ingle, Los Angeles Rams (2018-22): Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.
Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), Chicago Bears: Jones made two tackles and recorded a quarterback hit in the Bears’ 41-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.
Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), Detroit Lions: In his first game since being signed to the team’s 53-man roster, Knight carried the ball three times for 13 yards with a long of eight in the Lions’ 20-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), New York Giants: McCloud did not appear in the Giants’ 30-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), San Francisco 49ers: McGill plays on the 49ers practice squad.
Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), Detroit Lions: McNeill recorded three tackles, including a sack, in the Lions’ 20-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He also logged two quarterback hits.
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), Las Vegas Raiders: After he missed last week’s game with a concussion, Meyers shined for the Raiders once again. He caught seven passes for 85 yards on 12 targets in the Raiders’ 23-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), Seattle Seahawks: Thomas played 21 special teams snaps for the Seahawks in the team’s 37-27 win over the Carolina Panthers. Thomas played against two other Pack pros, offensive linemen Chandler Zavala and Ikem Ekwonu.
Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.
Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 77 snaps for the Kansas City Chiefs in the team’s 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears in front of Taylor Swift on Sunday afternoon. He earned a 69.3 overall offensive grade at left guard, according to PFF.
Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling logged one catch for 37 yards on two targets in the team’s 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears.
Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), Denver Broncos: Wilson was 23-of-38 for 306 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the Broncos’ 70-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He was sacked one and posted a 67.2 QBR.
Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), Carolina Panthers: Zavala played 79 offensive snaps in the Panthers’ 37-27 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He posted an overall offensive grade of 24.3 at left guard, according to PFF, in a contest littered with Pack pros.
