After eight years at the helm of the NC State men's basketball program, Athletic Director Boo Corrigan relieved Kevin Keatts of his duties on Sunday morning. The former UNCW coach guided the Wolfpack to the NCAA Tournament twice, including a magical run through March that ended in a Final Four appearance at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. Keatts, who had a reputation for being a recruiter as a coach, was able to sign five top-40 classes, including the No. 18 unit in the 2018 cycle. His latest class, a two-man signing group, led by power forward Mikey Wilkins, the No. 67 recruit in the nation, checked in at No. 36 nationally in the December signing period. The coach's firing caught several recruits off guard going into the spring and summer following NC State's 12-19 season during the 2024-25 campaign. Here's the latest on what recruits have told TheWolfpacker.com about Keatts' firing.
