CJ Bailey’s freshman year was meant to be all about development. He was more than prepared to sit and watch Grayson McCall lead NC State’s offense in a redshirt year to improve as a signal-caller. But as McCall battled a pair of head injuries, including a career-ending concussion against Wake Forest, Bailey was thrown into the fire. He was able to help guide the Wolfpack’s offense each week, including five wins while he was at the controls. Now, with the unexpected year as NC State’s starting quarterback under his belt, Bailey is prepared to lead the Wolfpack’s quarterbacks room into a pivotal 2025 campaign. This is the first position-by-position breakdown of the Pack’s roster going into its spring practice slate, which is set to begin on Feb. 25. Let’s take a look at NC State’s quarterbacks.
