The Wolfpacker NC State signing day show
NC State football wrapped up December’s national signing day by the early afternoon Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Wolfpack welcomed 24 prep and junior college prospects to the program after a years-long recruiting process for most of them.
This was a day full of celebration for the program, and The Wolfpacker Show wanted to do something special to break it all down. Ethan McDowell and Noah Fleischman hosted the first live edition of the program, broadcasting for nearly two hours.
As of Dec. 21, NC State’s class ranked No. 31 in the nation, cementing it as one of the top classes in head coach Dave Doeren’s tenure. The Wolfpack finished the cycle with three flips, wide receiver Christian Zachary (UVA), wide receiver Keenan Jackson (North Carolina) and linebacker Elijah Groves (Kentucky), and it signed nine players who are ranked as a four-star prospect by at least one national recruiting service.
The Pack finished the cycle with zero decommitments. Despite pushes from schools including Missouri, Miami and Georgia, none of the program’s 24 signees flipped elsewhere.
NC State’s recruiting class ranks highly (No. 31 nationally, No. 5 ACC) and fills a lot of needs. With five wide receiver signees, the Pack has officially overhauled that position group. Running back Duke Scott is another player who could come in and make a very quick impact in Raleigh. In fact, head coach Doeren said the running back would have played this year if he was on campus already.
