NC State wrestling has a major showdown Friday evening at historic Reynolds Coliseum. Coming to Raleigh is Pittsburgh, undefeated in ACC dual action and looking to essentially clinch the regular season conference title.
That’s because Pittsburgh has already defeated Virginia Tech and North Carolina in duals. The Hokies had earlier beat NC State in a thriller. All that is left for the Panthers after Friday is almost certain victory over last-place Duke.

However, if the Wolfpack were to defeat Pittsburgh, then NC State could forge a tie in which co-champions are awarded. The Pack still has a road dual at North Carolina left on the slate. UNC and Virginia Tech are in dual action Friday as well, with the loser between two one-loss teams practically eliminated from any chance of a regular season title.
