Game day is almost here. NC State football will kick off its 2024 football season under the lights of Carter-Finley Stadium Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m., officially wrapping up the past 8 months filled with speculation around the Pack.
In preparation for the program’s week one showdown with Western Carolina, The Wolfpacker Show dropped one final season preview episode. Hosts Noah Fleischman and Ethan McDowell sat down to share their predictions for NC State’s 2024 campaign.
In this episode of The Wolfpacker Show, the hosts discussed:
*** First, Noah and Ethan talked about the rapidly approaching season debut of the Pack. Both hosts are very excited to cover the program this fall and shared the schedule for the podcast over the next couple of weeks.
*** Then, they dove into their predictions, starting with team MVP. Noah picked sophomore wide receiver KC Concepcion, while Ethan went with graduate running back Jordan waters. Neither host picked quarterback Grayson McCall, but they expect big things out of the Coastal Carolina transfer as well.
*** They also picked a breakout player for the 2024 season, highlighting two athletes who do not have enough buzz around them going into the fall. Noah and Ethan also chose ‘X-Factors’ for the Pack and talked about NC State’s linebacker room.

*** After a quick break, the hosts focused on the schedule. They both picked the Clemson game as NC State’s best chance at an upset, and they see the road trip to Georgia Tech as a potential trap game late in the year for the program.
*** Noah and Ethan also predicted who will lead the Pack in receiving yards, rushing yards, tackles and interceptions.
*** To wrap up the show, they made their final regular season record predictions. Both hosts expect NC State to win a lot of games, but they’re divided on whether or not the program will reach the elusive 10-victory mark.
