NC State has just under a month until it opens fall camp ahead of the 2024 football season. As the team prepares to return to the gridiron, TheWolfpacker.com is previewing each position group with in-depth reporting and features.

This week is all about the tight ends and offensive line. The Wolfpacker Show, hosted by Ethan McDowell and Noah Fleischman, broke down NC State’s front five during the preview podcast series.

In this episode, the hosts discussed:

– Who left the offensive line after the 2023 season and who the Wolfpack replaced them with going into the new campaign this fall. The Pack had three players depart and it added a key transfer to make an instant impact on the offensive line.

– NC State nearly returned its entire starting offensive line — minus Dylan McMahon, who was a sixth round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles. The hosts talked about the importance of the continuity that the Wolfpack offensive line has this year, and why that will be pivotal in the 2024 season.

– Ethan and Noah gave their versions of the starting offensive line for the new season, which includes a young face looking to push his way onto the first five. In addition to the redshirt freshman that has a chance to make noise this year, the hosts discussed the impact Notre Dame transfer center Zeke Correll will have on the field this fall.

– Though the hosts think there’s a young player looking to make an impact this season, they didn’t write off the returner that he’s pushing to replace. While Ethan and Noah talked about that, they also noted how former Oregon transfer Dawson Jaramillo can make his presence felt this season as a Swiss Army Knife of the offensive line.

– After breaking down the personnel in the group, Ethan and Noah picked one thing that excites them about the position and one thing that worries them going into the 2024 season.

– To end the show, the hosts took a few questions from TheWolfpacker.com subscribers about the offensive line and answered them. More of those questions will be available in a mailbag later this week.
