The Wolfpacker Show: NC State wide receiver preview

It’s almost time for NC State to open fall camp ahead of the 2024 football season. As the team prepares to return to the gridiron, TheWolfpacker.com is previewing each position group with in-depth reporting and features.

This week is all about the wide receiver position. The Wolfpacker Show, hosted by Ethan McDowell and Noah Fleischman, broke down NC State’s wideouts during the preview podcast series.

In this episode, the hosts discussed:

– Who left the wide receiver room after the 2023 season and who the Wolfpack replaced them with going into the new campaign this fall. The Pack had a half dozen depart — due to graduation and the transfer portal — and it brought in a talented group to boost the position.

– Sophomore wideout Kevin “KC” Concepcion headlines NC State’s position group after his standout freshman campaign. He caught a team-best 71 passes for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns in his debut season.

– While Concepcion is the anchor of the room, who else is a standout? That is what Ethan and Noah discussed early in the show. The hosts broke down the projected two-deep for the season, and which newcomer is in line to start this fall.

– After the depth chart, Ethan and Noah analyzed the freshman class and which first-year players are set to make an immediate impact.

– The hosts also talked about what excites them about the wideouts and what makes each of them hesitant about the position group. Neither one is a surprise with this deep position that the wide receiver group has this fall.

– To end the show, the hosts took a few questions from TheWolfpacker.com subscribers about the wide receiver room and answered them. More of those questions will be available in a mailbag later this week.
