The Wolfpacker Show: NC State's underrated football transfers, basketball update
NC State athletics is in the middle of an incredibly busy stretch of the year. Both basketball teams are making postseason pushes, baseball and softball just started their respective seasons on a high note and football kicks off spring practice shortly.
With so much going on, The Wolfpacker Show recorded another episode to recap all of the recent news around NC State and share its takes on some highly debated topics around the basketball and football programs.
The Wolfpack men’s basketball squad lost Tuesday night at home to Syracuse. After the Orange scored 55 first-half points and built a 15-point lead, NC State battled back and had a chance to tie or win the game in the final seconds.
Tuesday’s setback drops the Wolfpack to 16-10 on the season with 5 games to play before the ACC tournament.
NC State women’s basketball is on a roll, winning its past three conference showdowns. That includes two wins on the road. The Wolfpack held Notre Dame to 40 points below its season average on the Fighting Irish’s home court, leaving Indiana with a double-digit win despite scoring 59 points.
Georgia Tech traveled to Raleigh a few days later for a completely different game. NC State dueled with the Yellow Jackets through overtime and escaped with a narrow one-point win.
