All that’s left in the regular season aside from the home contest with the Tigers is a road date at Duke on Tuesday evening, and then NC State will sit out the final weekend of ACC action with the other 14 league teams compete.

NC State is 22-7 overall and 12-6 in the ACC. One more conference win will set a school record for most league victories in a year. The Wolfpack is also on the verge of getting back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018, head coach Kevin Keatts’ first season on the job.

TheWolfpacker.com duo of Matt Carter and Justin H. Williams host the latest edition of The Wolfpacker Show, devoted to all the vibes and feelings surrounding NC State basketball.

Among the topics discussed by Carter and Williams in this episode of The Wolfpacker Show:

• Looking back at some of the recent good times and more importantly what they have taught NC State basketball fans about this Wolfpack squad.

As Carter noted, for once the shoe feels like it is on the other foot for Pack fans. Other teams are the ones that have to play a full 40 minutes against NC State or otherwise risk losing.

• The two get into a discussion about the NCAA Tournament. Is NC State, at this point, a lock? Williams seems to think so. Carter may be more of a grinch on the subject, sharing his belief that the Wolfpack resume could use a little more sprucing but that one more win may be enough to get them there.

• What is the ideal scenario for the ACC Tournament, held March 7-11 in Greensboro, N.C.? At worst, the Pack begins action on day two, but could also get that coveted double bye.

• A discussion about the NCAA’s NET ratings, which is the sorting tool used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee. Carter explains why focusing on where NC State is ranked is the first and most common mistake that fans are making.

• A brief talk about the NC State women’s basketball team, which will close the regular season Sunday vs. last-place Pittsburgh in an attempt to close the ACC slate with a .500 record.

All that and more in the latest episode of The Wolfpacker Show.
