After its final week off this season, NC State returns to the gridiron with a road test at Georgia Tech on Thursday night. The Wolfpack is looking to earn its sixth win of the season, which would clinch the team’s fifth straight bowl game under coach Dave Doeren.

Here’s a preview of the Pack’s trip to Georgia Tech and a look at the men’s and women’s basketball programs through their first four games.

In this episode, the hosts discussed:

– Georgia Tech is a capable team. The Yellow Jackets have a pair of top-10 wins, including a victory over then-No. 4 Miami in the team’s last game on Nov. 9. Ethan and Noah talked about what they have seen from Georgia Tech at this point in the season with a high-level overview of the Yellow Jackets.

– Is this a bad matchup for NC State? Georgia Tech has leaned on its rushing attack this fall, especially in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets are paced by quarterback Haynes King and running back Jamal Haynes, who have led the team to the No. 3 rushing offense in the ACC this season, averaging 186.2 yards per game. NC State, meanwhile, has had an up-and-down time stopping the run, which would not bode well against Georgia Tech.

– While the Yellow Jackets boast a solid run defense, the fourth-best in the ACC, Georgia Tech’s pass defense is average. The team has given up 226.5 yards through the air per game, which ranks seventh in the conference. Ethan and Noah talked about how NC State could attack that through the air with freshman quarterback CJ Bailey.

– The hosts also talked about wanting to see how Bailey bounces back from the 29-19 loss to Duke, in which he posted a 41 percent completion rate.

– Ethan and Noah shared their weekly predictions for the game. Who will lead the team in rushing, receiving and tackles this weekend? What will the final score be?

– To close out the show, the hosts talked about NC State men’s and women’s basketball through their first four games. The men are undefeated, while the women are 2-2. Ethan and Noah talked about what they’re looking for from each team during the rest of the nonconference slate, including the men’s tough stretch in San Diego over Thanksgiving.
