NC State is looking to shake another lopsided loss against a ranked opponent — a 59-35 defeat at Clemson — with a quality Northern Illinois squad visiting Carter-Finley Stadium this weekend.

The Huskies, which dispatched Notre Dame earlier this season, will provide a key test for the Pack as NC State went back to the drawing board this week in practice. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at noon on The CW.

In this episode, the hosts discussed:

– What NC State needs to change going into the game. Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren issued a call for the team’s defense to play physical and tough this week in practice. The Pack did not release a depth chart this week and the team could have significant changes there.

– Who could rise to the challenge? Ethan and Noah talked about several spots on NC State’s defense where new faces could emerge, including at linebacker and in the Wolfpack’s secondary.

– What Northern Illinois could do to pose a giant threat. Hint: running back Antario Brown could be that for the Huskies. He rushed for 1,296 yards last season and already has 241 rushing yards through the first three games, including 99 at Notre Dame. Ethan and Noah talked about how NC State’s rushing defense has struggled and how Brown could take advantage of that.

– The Huskies do not make mistakes on offense with their quarterback having just one interception and no sacks this season. Is this a bad matchup for the Pack defense? Ethan and Noah explain.

– Then, Ethan and Noah shared their weekly predictions for the game. Who will lead the team in rushing (maybe Kendrick Raphael?), receiving and tackles this weekend? What will the final score be? Stay tuned to the end to find out.
