NC State baseball is set to host a regional for the first time since 2018 as the selection committee awarded a weekend at Doak Field to the Wolfpack. The red and white will square off with Bryant on Friday night before facing either South Carolina or James Madison on Saturday.

The Wolfpacker Show, hosted by Ethan McDowell and Noah Fleischman, taped another episode to recap NC State baseball’s time in the ACC Tournament in Charlotte and preview this weekend’s Raleigh Regional

In this NC State podcast episode, the hosts discussed:

– NC State’s 1-1 trip to the ACC Tournament at Truist Field and how, if it did, affected the Wolfpack’s vibes heading into the NCAA Tournament. The Pack beat Virginia Tech handedly, 19-9, but lost to Duke, 8-1, in the elimination game.

– The Wolfpack’s national seed, and what it means. NC State is the No. 10 seed, just on the outside from a top-eight spot that would have had the Pack in line to host a super regional.

– Noah broke down each of the other teams visiting the City of Oaks this weekend: 2-seed South Carolina, 3-seed James Madison and 4-seed Bryant. The Bulldogs, the Pack’s first foe of the weekend, are the only auto-bid arriving to the Raleigh this weekend.

– The hosts broke down the strengths and weaknesses of each squad, including the Gamecocks, who handed the Wolfpack a loss in last year’s Columbia Regional. In addition to that, Noah made a prediction on the first two games of the regional.

– After the baseball discussion, Ethan mentioned the football recruiting cycle is going to pick up in June. He previewed a scoop posted on TheWolfpacker.com about a priority quarterback that will be camping at NC State on Saturday morning.

– The duo also gave a shoutout to an NC State golfer that logged a top-15 finish at the NCAA Championships in California this week.
