The Wolfpacker Show: Reacting to NC State's loss vs. Duke
For the first time this fall, NC State football failed to score a touchdown. Duke, the No. 16 team in the nation, completely dominated the Wolfpack Saturday night during a road ACC matchup, winning 24-3.
After the game, The Wolfpacker Show taped another episode, reacting to and breaking down the loss to the Blue Devils. NC State stands 4-3 heading into the bye week with a lot of questions surrounding both sides of the ball.
This game was the Wolfpack’s lowest scoring total since a shutout defeat against Clemson in 2014. It is the second time the offense failed to score more than 10 points this season after falling 13-10 to Louisville earlier this year.
In his second start of the season, sophomore quarterback MJ Morris completed 24 of 40 passes for 193 yards and an interception. He also led the Wolfpack in rushing with 14 carries for 38 yards, taking 4 sacks as well.
Penalties significantly hampered the Wolfpack. The team committed 6 infractions for 50 yards in the first quarter alone.
Defensively, the Pack struggled to stop the big plays and gave up 24 points despite only allowing 4 completed passes.
After observing and analyzing all of those discouraging developments for NC State, The Wolfpacker Show hosts Ethan McDowell and Noah Fleischman shared their thoughts.
