BREAKING: Swedish forward Tilda Trygger commits to NC State

NC State women’s basketball just added some serious height to its front court. The Wolfpack picked up a commitment from Swedish forward Tilda Trygger Friday evening.
She is the fourth commitment of the Wolfpack’s 2024 class and will join the Wolfpack from Stockholm, Sweden, and the Valencia (ESP) Basket Club. At 6-6, the forward will provide a boost to NC State’s power forward and center positions for the years to come.
Playing for the Swedish U18 team in the 2023 European championships, Trygger scored 16 points per game, grabbed 9.4 rebounds, dished out 3.3 assists and swiped 1.9 steals. Her best game was a 77-62 win over Denmark— a 28-point, 9 rebound performance in 29 minutes that featured 2 three-point field goals as well.
Trygger, who visited NC State in December, has the range to make an impact from behind the arc, knocking down 8 of 24 shots from deep in her final 5 international games this summer.
Per College Athletics Agency, she also held offers from UCLA, West Virginia, Colorado and Michigan State.
