Utah State OT transfer Teague Andersen commits to NC State
Welcome to the transfer portal party, NC State.
The Wolfpack, which has hosted a handful of transfer portal targets over the past week, landed its first pledge as Utah State transfer tackle Teague Andersen committed Monday afternoon. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Andersen, who visited NC State over the weekend, picked the Pack over the likes of Houston, Kansas State, Penn State and Missouri. He started 11 games at right tackle for Utah State during the 2024 season. Andersen earned an above-average 81.3 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus after he allowed just nine total quarterback pressures, including only two sacks.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound offensive lineman was viewed as the No. 17 tackle in the transfer portal, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings.
Before this season, Andersen appeared in every game as a redshirt freshman in 2023, including seven starts. He had five starts at right tackle with one at left tackle and one at center.

Andersen will bolster NC State’s depth on the offensive line, which will lose left tackle Anthony Belton to exhausted eligibility after the Military Bowl. The Wolfpack is set to return right tackle Jacarrius Peak and left guard Anthony Carter Jr. for the 2025 campaign.
Andersen was a three-star recruit out of Lehi (Utah) High School, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, the No. 33 overall recruit in the state of Utah.
The tackle hails from a football family as his brother Trey is also a tackle at Utah State, while their father Jason played collegiately at BYU from 1994-1997. He went on to play four seasons in the NFL as a center with the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.
