With just hours remaining in NC State’s transfer portal window Thursday night, a proverbial dam broke.  The Wolfpack appeared to make it out of the first entry opportunity with just one starter gone, sophomore wide receiver Kevin Concepcion. But as the minutes ticked on the clock for players to stay or leave for the spring semester, a group of defensive backs opted to enter their names in the transfer portal.  First, it was sophomore cornerback Brandon Cisse before redshirt freshman nickel Tamarcus Cooley and senior safety Bishop Fitzgerald all notified On3 that they were headed for the transfer portal. Graduate safety Devan Boykin is also reportedly entering the portal after he missed the 2024 season due to a knee injury.  Quickly, NC State went from losing mainly reserves to the portal to three of its starting defensive backs headed elsewhere from Raleigh. Here’s a look at what their departures mean for the Wolfpack moving forward.
