What we’ve learned about NC State baseball heading into ACC play

After losing five straight games, including a pair of midweek bouts at Doak Field, NC State baseball has found its footing with nine consecutive wins. While the level of competition wasn’t the same as the five losses, the Wolfpack’s ability to play consistent baseball, both in the batter’s box and on the mound has been key through its winning streak.  Now, it’ll put that on the line against Virginia Tech as ACC play begins this weekend in Raleigh. NC State has made strides to pull its record seven games above .500 and it will be tested against the Hokies, who dropped their opening conference series against Georgia Tech last weekend.  But before Virginia Tech rolls into town, here are three things we’ve learned about NC State as it prepares for ACC play — a marquee opportunity for the Wolfpack to continue its upward trajectory.
