What we’ve learned about NC State basketball at the midway point of the season
NC State’s banner raising for its ACC Tournament Championship and Final Four appearance on opening night feels like yesterday. But the Pack is already halfway through its 31-game schedule since that reflective pregame ceremony. The Wolfpack (9-6, 2-2 ACC) is in the middle of the league standings a quarter of the way through the conference’s 20-game slate. NC State took care of business against teams it was expected to beat in the non-conference, but struggled outside of that for the most part. NC State, which is looking to make its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance, has a long road to reach that. Although the Pack’s resume isn’t great (more on that below), NC State still has 16 games to play — plenty of time to either build momentum or wither away against the ACC. Here are four things we’ve learned through the first half of NC State’s regular season schedule.
