2024 three-star LB Vincent Shavers commits to Nebraska
The Huskers have added a critical piece to their 2024 class the last week in the early signing period. Vincent Shavers, who recently decommitted from Miami, has committed to Nebraska. Nebraska has had a strong recruiting presence in Miami under Matt Rhule.
Miami Gardens (Fla.) Central three-star linebacker Vincent Shavers has committed to Nebraska. Shavers recently de-committed from Miami and officially visited Lincoln this weekend. Shavers is the second linebacker in the class, joining Willis McGahee IV from Miami (Fla.) Christopher Columbus.
He made his announcement official at a signing day ceremony on Wednesday.
Shavers committed to the Miami Hurricanes on May 19, when he chose the ACC program over Rutgers and Maryland. He also held offers from the likes of Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.

Shavers is the No. 607 overall prospect and No. 55 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 75 player in Florida.
It’s said that the Hurricanes class ran out of spots, which changed things for Shavers in Coral Gables. The Husker coaching staff has spent a lot of time in South Florida this recruiting season.
