Nebraska released the final piece of the updated coaching contracts and salary information on Monday.

On Friday, we learned that interim head coach Mickey Joseph will make an extra $33,500 per month according to his updated contract. The new terms of that deal began on Sept. 11.

Joseph can also make an extra $150,000 if he takes the 1-3 Huskers to a bowl game. Joseph is currently under contract for $600,000 annually.

Meanwhile, interim defensive coordinator Bill Busch will make an extra $15,700 per month, starting on Sept. 18. Busch is currently under contract for $400,000 as Nebraska’s special teams coordinator. He replaced Erik Chinander, who was paid $850,000 annually by Nebraska.

Unlike Joseph, Busch does not have specific bonus terms on his new agreement. Instead, any bonus Busch would receive would be in line with what his previous agreement already had in place. The only difference is the bonus would be pro-rated based on the additional $15,700 per month stipend that would be added to his $400,000 annual salary.

All of NU’s full-time assistant coaches are under contract for both the 2022 and 2023 football seasons.

NU also released the updated terms for analyst Joey Connors, who will make an additional $2,070 per month in his new role as special teams coordinator. Connors’s official salary information is not listed on the 2022-23 NU budget since he was a later hire.

Meanwhile, Mike Cassano, who was elevated to replace Joseph as Nebraska’s receivers coach, will receive a monthly stipend of $4,595 in addition to his base wage of $117,299.

Both Connors and Cassano can also now be elevated to the road as recruiters to replace Chinander and fired head coach Scott Frost. The Huskers have another bye weekend on Oct. 22.
