Eagles select Nebraska's Ty Robinson in NFL Draft

Ty Robinson has long been regarded as Nebraska’s top 2025 NFL prospect. The standout defensive lineman solidified that billing by being the first Husker to have his name called at this year’s NFL Draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Robinson with the 111th overall pick in the fourth round on Saturday. He becomes NU’s highest draft pick since Cam Jurgens and Cam Taylor-Britt went in the second round in 2022.
Robinson also became Nebraska’s highest-drafted defensive lineman since Vincent Valentine and Maliek Collins were third-round picks in 2016.
Robinson is the first of what still could be a large group of Huskers selected in the 2025 draft. NU was projected to have as many as five draft picks this year, which would be its most since 2011 (seven).

After a strong senior season, Robinson’s draft stock skyrocketed at the NFL Combine
Robinson made the most of his final college season by putting together the best campaign of his Nebraska career in 2024.
The Gilbert, Arizona, native earned third-team All-Big Ten honors after leading the Huskers with six sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and six quarterback hurries.

His play led to an invitation to the 2025 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, where Robinson’s athleticism stole the show. Measuring 6-foot-5 and 288 pounds, he finished among the top four in all seven testing categories among defensive tackles.
By the time this weekend’s NFL Draft rolled around, Robinson had emerged as a consensus projected third or fourth-round pick among national draft analysts.
“The testing numbers are great, right?” Robinson said last month. “They look good on paper, but if you can play ball, you can play ball. That’s really what these scouts are going to be looking at. To me, those numbers are just kind of more icing on the cake.”
“I’m just hoping that I get taken by anybody,” Robinson added. “I don’t care who it is, when it is; I just need an opportunity and a chance.”
