Brandon Baker is no stranger to Nebraska

Initially, Baker was not going to take an official visit to Nebraska after two spring trips. He had planned on making his announcement before the start of his senior season.
After visiting Lincoln for a second time in April, Baker was very on the Huskers.
“I have been able to see the environment once more,” Baker said in April. “To get comfortable here, really. I really wanted to take a second look at everything. There was a chance to talk to coach (Matt) Rhule, and I really wanted to see how he’s pushing his players.
“He said that coming to Nebraska, they really wanted to try to become better and try and turn around the program, and things there were a bit hopeless. What he’s been able to accomplish so far at Nebraska means a lot.”
When the report initially came out in June that Baker would not be taking an official visit to Lincoln, it was a surprise. The key now is Baker’s timeline has been stretched out. His original plan was to take between five and seven official visits. This will be his fourth scheduled official visit.
