Four former Huskers invited to NFL Combine, Nash Hutmacher left out

Four former Nebraska football players received invites to the NFL Combine on Thursday. The combine will run from February 27 to March 2 in Indianapolis, with the NFL Draft taking place April 24-26 in Green Bay.
Former Husker defensive lineman Ty Robinson, tight end Thomas Fidone, cornerback Tommi Hill and wide receiver Isaiah Neyor all received invites to the combine.

The four invites represent the most NU has received since 2022, when they also had four: DB Cam Taylor-Britt, OL Cameron Jurgens, LB JoJo Domann, and TE Austin Allen.
PFF currently ranks Fidone No. 162 on its Big Board, while Robinson is No. 229, Hill No. 256 and DL Nash Hutmacher comes in at No. 290. They are the only former Huskers on PFF’s draft board of 328 prospects.
Hutmacher gets NFL Combine snub
Even though Hutmacher finds himself on many big boards as a projected draft pick, the fifth-year former Husker did not receive an NFL Combine invite.
This comes after Hutmacher had a strong week of practice in Dallas at the East-West Shrine All-Star game.

Neyor also played in the East-West game but received an invite. Both Fidone and Neyor were underclassmen who declared for the draft.
In addition to Hutmacher, offensive linemen Bryce Benhart and Ben Scott, wide receiver Jahmal Banks and safety Isaac Gifford were some other former Huskers who did not make the combine invite list.
The NFL invites 329 players to the combine. There are 257 picks in this year’s seven-round NFL Draft.
For former Huskers who did not receive a combine invite, they will have to try their luck at Nebraska’s Pro Day, tentatively set for March 25 in Lincoln.
