Hoiberg guided Nebraska to one of its most successful seasons ever, capped with its first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade. The Huskers finished 23-11 overall and 12-8 in conference play, earning an 8-seed in Mach Madness.
That marked NU’s most wins in a season since 1990-91 and its highest conference finish (third) since 1992-92. The Huskers also reached the semifinals of this year’s Big Ten Tournament. That was the furthest they’d advanced in a league tourney since 2006.
