Both Illinois and Nebraska coming off byes
The No. 18 ranked Illini and Huskers should be well rested for their Oct. 29 meeting in Lincoln, as neither team plays this weekend.
Illinois defeated Minnesota 26-14 this past Saturday, while NU fell 43-37 at Purdue.
The Illini will be led by running back Chase Brown, who has 1,059 yards rushing to lead the nation. Meanwhile, the Big Red’s offense is led by wide receiver Trey Palmer, who currently leads the country with 781 yards receiving.
Illinois and Nebraska will be off this weekend for the second time this season. They are the only two Big Ten schools that played on Week Zero, which gives them an extra bye week.

The game in Lincoln will carry high stakes, as the Illini currently are in the driver’s seat to capture the Big Ten West after their win over Minnesota last weekend. The Huskers on the other hand will be trying to get back in the race after their defeat to the Boilermakers last weekend in West Lafayette.
The only Nebraska kickoff time we know after Illinois is NU’s Black Friday showdown with Iowa. That game will kick off at 3 p.m. CST on the Big Ten Network. The other three kick times with Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin will be announced 12 or 6 days in advance.
The Huskers have played four of their last five games at night. They have only played one game at 2:30 p.m. CST all season against North Dakota.
