JUCO DE Kai Wallin has committed to Nebraska
Sacramento (California) American River C.C. defensive end Kai Wallin officially visited Nebraska this past weekend and committed to the Huskers on Monday.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Wallin was blown away by his official visit. Wallin also visited Oregon State and Kansas.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to play on the biggest stage in front of the best fans,” Wallin said. “I think that the coaching staff is doing things the right way. They have bought in to making Nebraska great again.”
Wallin has thought a lot about the visit this weekend. The facilities tour with all of the new construction and the plans for the future at Nebraska still stand out.
“I think back to the tour of the facilities. They are completely redoing their facilities. Seeing the digital plans and walking through the construction to understand all of it was big for me,” he said.

All the recruits have raved about how much fun they have had with the new staff. They have noted this following in-home visits and events on campus. Wallin agrees.
“I feel the same way,” Wallin said. “I think that everyone on the staff is 110% for their players and I experienced that when I was out there. My biggest connections to the staff are through coach (Terrance) Knighton, coach (Matt) Rhule and coach (Omar) Hales.”
Wallin can transfer to Nebraska in January and will have three years of eligibility remaining with a redshirt.
