Nebraska’s pregame availability report on Saturday included some surprising additions. The Huskers listed starting offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua as OUT for their home game against Northern Iowa.
Head coach Matt Rhule hadn’t mentioned anything about a possible injury for the senior left guard during the week. However, he checked out of the last week’s win over Colorado earlier than the rest of the starting o-line.

Henry Lutovsky will get the start in Mazzccua’s absence. The junior missed the opener against UTEP due to a calf injury but returned to play vs. the Buffaloes. Lutovsky has made four starts over 25 career appearances as a Husker.

The other surprise before kickoff was starting defensive end Jimari Butler appearing as “questionable” on Nebraska’s availability report for UNI.
Butler spoke with the media on Tuesday, and Rhule also never mentioned him as a player dealing with an injury this week. This season, the junior Blackshirt has three tackles, a TFL, one sack, and a fumble recovery.
