Nebraska adds four-star WR Demitrius Bell to 2023 recruiting class
Matt Rhule and the Nebraska staff have added Nashville (Tenn.) McGavock wide receiver Demitrius Bell to the commitment list. The four-star recruit, according to On3, took an official visit to Nebraska this weekend and has also been on official visits to Kentucky and Michigan State.
Things moved very quickly for Bell and Nebraska. Matt Rhule and his staff were in-home with Bell on 1/16, and Bell was in Lincoln the following weekend for an official visit.
Nebraska has been showing interest in Bell for months leading back to Mickey Joseph as the interim head coach. The Huskers were supposed to host Bell for a game visit against Indiana, but Bell suffered an injury and couldn’t make the trip.

Bell adds his name to a class that already includes receivers Malachi Coleman, Jaidyn Doss, Brice Turner, Jaylen Lloyd, and portal transfers Joshua Fleeks (who will play wide receiver and running back) from Baylor and Billy Kemp from Virginia.
Bell, the No. 216 prospect in the On300, chose not to sign early, making him one of the top unsigned prospects heading into the Feb. 1 Signing Day.

On3 Scouting Report for Demitrius Bell
Two-way playmaker whose twitch and suddenness pop off the screen along with his ball skills and ability to put the ball in the endzone on any given play. Natural pass catcher who has soft hands. Totaled 35 receptions for 498 yards and 7 touchdowns during his junior season. Phenomenal with the ball in his hands after the catch. Makes defenders miss with his hip fluidity and ability to pull through arm tackles. Not much of a threat on 50-50 balls and question top-end speed. Projects to a Z-type receiver or potentially a slot weapon at the next level. High floor prospect who will be a significant role player early on in his career. Plays basketball as well.
