Nebraska adds lengthy cornerback Bryson Webber to 2025 recruiting class
Nebraska has added some length to the secondary. Bryson Webber, from Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point High School, officially visited Nebraska on June 21. The Huskers were the first school to offer Webber and have consistently pursued Webber since the offer. Nebraska was Webber’s last official visit before the dead period.
“Nebraska was my first offer,” Webber said. “Coach Cooper was a little upset that I took other trips before coming to see them. Nebraska has been very consistent in talking to me and recruiting me, so I had to visit there.
“Talking to the players this weekend, the first thing I thought about was a small town and fields. It definitely exceeded my expectations coming up here. It’s a nice city, the people are great, and it’s diverse. The visit exceeded my expectations, like I said.”

Webber says that Nebraska checked all of the boxes and then some regarding what he was looking for in a school. Nebraska might have been his final official visit, but it worked out perfectly so he could compare everyone else to the Huskers.
“They checked every box and then some,” Webber said. “The environment was crazy. I know that they were my last visit, but that allowed me to see everybody else and compare them to Nebraska. They didn’t compare to Nebraska. It was crazy.”

Bryson Webber needed to chat with new DBs coach at Nebraska
Coach Cooper resigned from his position at Nebraska, and before Webber felt comfortable announcing his commitment, he needed to speak with new defensive backs coach John Butler. Webber did his own research on Butler before their conversation and felt good about coach Rhule’s hire.
Webber is the fourth player in the 2025 recruiting class for Nebraska, who is being initially targeted to play in the secondary. Caden VerMaas, Tanner Terch, and Jeremiah Jones are all being considered to play various safety positions. Webber is the first player in the class recruited to play cornerback.
Webber took five official visits to Oregon State, Utah, Baylor, TCU, and Nebraska. The three-star cornerback says his decision came down to Nebraska, Utah, and TCU. According to On3’s Industry Ranking, Webber is rated as the No. 67 cornerback in the country.
