Nebraska adds three-star IOL Houston Kaahaaina-Torres to 2025 recruiting class
Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis IOL Houston Kaahaaina-Torres has announced his decision to commit to Nebraska. Kaahaaina-Torres was down to the four schools he visited officially: Arizona State, Cal, Michigan State, and Nebraska. The Huskers were the last school to host Kaahaaina-Torres on June 21.
Nebraska has picked up a significant addition to the 2025 recruiting class. Houston Kaahaaina-Torres has chosen Nebraska over Arizona State, Cal, and Michigan State. The Huskers are looking at Kaahaaina-Torres to play center.
On3 sees Kaahaaina-Torres as an IOL in their 2025 rankings. However, he found himself playing the offensive tackle position last season and talked about the differences between the interior and tackle positions the previous year.

“It’s a new experience for me fighting guys alone out on the island. I am playing right tackle this year and played center the year before. I feel like I have been getting the hang of it and learning the technique.”

The June visit to Nebraska was Kaahaaina-Torres’s second trip to Lincoln. The first time he was there, in April 2022, the facilities were still under construction. On his official visit, he saw a finished product.
“I was blown away when I was checking it out,” Kaahaaina-Torres said. “It’s some next-level stuff. It was under construction when I was there last time. I had to walk around with a hard hat last time.”
Kaahaaina-Torres is rated as a three-star recruit according to the On3 Industry Ranking, the No. 44 IOL in the nation, and the No. 1 player in Hawaii. Nebraska has landed the top recruit in Hawaii in the last two years. The Huskers signed Preston Taumua from Waipahu (Hawaii) as part of the 2024 recruiting class.
