The Huskers have added their third commitment to the 2025 class in the past two weeks. Bear Tenney from Lehi (Utah) Lone Peak HS visited Nebraska two weeks ago and announced over social media that he has committed to Matt Rhule and the Huskers. Tenney, a 6-foot-5 and 225-pound tight end who held over 40 total offers, could potentially play all three tight end spots for the Huskers.

Nebraska hosted Tenney for a practice in Lincoln on April 11th. The talented tight end has visited Auburn, Oregon, Utah, and Nebraska this year. He also had plans to visit Colorado, Georgia, Florida, and Washington.

In a February report, Tenney spoke with On3’s Chad Simmons about a critical stretch to see some more schools and make a decision. He had seen several tight ends come off the board and knew that he had to make a decision quickly.

“Over the last few weeks, spots have been getting taken up and the 2025 tight ends have been committing,” Tenney told On3. “For me, I want to lock my spot in. I’m feeling more and more comfortable with this recruiting process and I’m ready to go into my senior year confident and comfortable and know that I’m locked in somewhere and know where I’m going. So, I’d rather have that than wait too long.”
