Nebraska adds versatile athlete Jeremiah Jones to the 2025 recruiting class
Jeremiah Jones from Murray (Ky.) went from a relative unknown to Nebraska fans the week of his official visit to an official visitor and finally to a future Husker. The talented athlete announced his commitment to Nebraska. Jones reported earlier this week that Nebraska was interested in him playing in the secondary as a safety. He could also be a big-bodied wide receiver or a dynamic tight end with his 6-foot-6 and 205-pound frame.
This weekend’s official visit to Nebraska is Jones’s second of this month. Two weeks ago, Jones checked out the in-state school Louisville and received a lot of recruiting interest from Florida State. Nebraska made Jones a priority, and he felt it since he got the offer.
“What made Nebraska home for me was the city, the people, and the love that they showed me since I got the offer,” Jones said. “It was constant love from the staff talking to coach Rob Dvoracek, coach Tony While, and coach Matt Rhule even.”
Jones had some interesting film at Murray High School last season. As a receiver, he shows good burst and route-running skills. On the edge, his high school team likes to run his way because he is a trusted blocker. Jones will also move to the backfield and take a direct snap in a Wildcat formation.

Jones could play several positions for Nebraska. During the official visit, Jones said he is willing to play defense in college. However, he might have a slight preference for either wide receiver or tight end.
Matt Rhule and his staff have moved several players around on the field and even had some players move from one side of the ball to the other. The most recent was 2023 wide receiver recruit Jaidyn Doss, who has recently moved to defense and is playing cornerback.
