As his team prepares to travel to Purdue (1-2), head coach Matt Rhule gave the latest on both players.
Rhule said Corcoran will remain out for an extended period with a significant hamstring injury, while Hill’s situation with his foot injury will continue to be monitored.
The news on Corcoran marks the second season in a row he’s suffered a significant injury. The senior from Lawerence, Kan., is in his fifth year at NU. If he weren’t able to return to play this season, he could technically take a four-game redshirt and return in 2025.

Gottula and Wright’s play were bright spots for Nebraska
Redshirt freshman Gunnar Gottula’s play at left tackle in Corcoran’s place was a bright spot for the Huskers.
Gottula logged 48 snaps and scored 65.7 on PFF, the second-highest for all NU offensive linemen. He did not allow a sack but gave up one quarterback hurry and committed a false start penalty in overtime.
USC transfer defensive back Ceyair Wright filled in for Hill and allowed just 10 receiving yards on four targets.
Wright also came up with one of Nebraska’s most impactful defensive plays in the loss. He forced a fumble on Illinois QB Luke Altmyer on a blindside corner blitz.
The Huskers will need both Gottula and Wright to continue that type of play moving forward.
