Nebraska nabs the first commitment in 2024 class, four-star ATH Roger Gradney
Roger Gradney is the first recruit to commit to Matt Rhule and his staff for the 2024 class. The four-star athlete from Altair (Texas) Rice Consolidated picked up an offer from Nebraska on Sunday.
The state of Texas is going to be big for Matt Rhule and his staff in 2024. The Huskers spent a lot of time recruiting the Lone Star State in January, which is paying off already.
Gradney, a four-star recruit according to On3 and the No. 195th player overall nationally, is the first commitment for Nebraska in the 2024 class. Gradney is rated as an athlete and ranked the No. 21st athlete in the country and the No. 37th best player in the state of Texas.
The Huskers see Gradney playing in the secondary and could also see some time on offense. Gradney will also play a role on special teams for Nebraska as a returner.

Gradney is planning on visiting Nebraska in March. He doesn’t believe that he will be in Lincoln for the big junior day on March 25th, with players such as Dylan Raiola, Williams Nwaneri, Nigel Smith II, Carter Nelson, Gatlin Bair, and Mario Buford, and others.
Nebraska starts on the right foot with a commitment before the month of March and from the state of Texas on top of it all.
