LAS VEGAS – Nebraska’s most successful postseason run in 29 years continued with a 79-69 win over Boise State in the College Basketball Crown semifinals on Saturday.

Nebraska used a 15-1 run to flip a seven-point deficit into an eight-point lead late in the first half. Brice Williams scored 13 of his 14 in the first 20 minutes to help NU take a 39-33 lead into the break.

The Huskers outscored BSU 21-9 over the final 7:22, while the Broncos went nearly five minutes without a field goal during the rally.

A Sam Hoiberg three pushed the lead up to 49-37 early in the second half. Nebraska hit eight of its first 12 from behind the arc on the day. That advantage grew to 14 on a 10-3 NU run.

Boise State eventually trimmed its deficit down to seven with 1:31 left, but the Huskers finished the job by going 15-of-18 at the free-throw line for the game.

The victory marks the first time Nebraska has posted consecutive 20-win campaigns since the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons.

The Huskers will face the winner of Central Florida and Villanova in the College Basketball Crown championship on Sunday. That game will tip at 4:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
