The Huskers advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals with a run-rule win over No. 11 Penn State 9-1. However, No. 2 seed UCLA took down NU 4-2. No. 8 Michigan defeated the Bruins 2-0 in the championship. UCLA is the No. 9 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Huskers record season comes down to this

Nebraska softball is having one of its best seasons in program history. They have broken the home run record (98), run rule record (23), runs (420), extra-base hits (202) and have a shot at setting the team batting average and slugging percentage. While these accomplishments are great, this group of Huskers want to go out as winners.

NU is led by the first-ever Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year, Jordy Bahl. Bahl is the best two-way player in college softball, according to Softball America. She has a 1.57 ERA and a .458 batting average. Bahl is tied with Ava Kuszak for a team-high 19 home runs.

Kuszak was a Big Ten First Team selection with Bahl. Third baseman Sammie Bland and pitcher/outfielder Hannah Camenzind were second-team picks. Bland also made the All-Defensive team.
