Nebraska will play Iowa in primetime on Black Friday as more Big Ten schedule kick times are announced

For the first time in 14 years, Iowa and Nebraska will play for the Heroes Trophy under the lights.

The Big Ten announced on Thursday that the Huskers and Hawkeyes will play at 6:30 p.m. CT on NBC. The game has predominantly been an 11 a.m. kickoff, with a few 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. kickoff times sprinkled in over the years.

It was also announced that Minnesota at Wisconsin will now be an 11 a.m. Black Friday game on CBS. The league will have two Black Friday games annually: 11 a.m. on CBS and 6:30 p.m. on NBC. This is sandwiched around Amazon Prime’s 2 p.m. NFL game, which features Oakland at Kansas City this year.

We also learned Nebraska’s opener with UTEP will be aired on FOX at 2:30 p.m. CT. That means three of the Huskers’ first four games will be aired on network television.

Other than NU’s homecoming trip to Purdue on Oct. 5, all four of NU’s other homecoming games they are involved in have flex kickoff times, including a potential 10 p.m. CT kickoff possibility at USC on Nov. 16.
