Nebraska Women’s Basketball crushes Wisconsin for fifth straight win
Nebraska Women’s Basketball (15-4, 6-2) dominated Wisconsin (10-9, 1-7) 91-60 behind a total team effort. Nine Huskers scored and five scored double-digit points.
The Husker have won 15 straight home games, which is the longest active home winning streak in the Big Ten. They are on a five-game winning streak.
Freshman guard Britt Prince led Nebraska with 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Sophomore Jessica Petrie recorded a career-high 15 points and was 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Senior Kendall Moriarty had a career-high 17 points and freshman Petra Bozan added 10 points.

Husker center Alexis Markowski is now No. 3 in career rebounds in Nebraska Women’s Basketball history. She surpassed Jordan Hooper with 1,112 career rebounds. The senior had 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists against Wisconsin.
Serah Williams paces Wisconsin with 2o points, eight rebounds and three assists. She was 9-of-23 from the field, taking over one-third of the Badgers’ shots.
Building a big lead
The Huskers scored one field goal until Petrie hit a 3-pointer with 5:46 left. But they clicked into a rhythm for the second half of the first quarter.
The first-quarter score stayed within three points until the end of the quarter. Bozan made a layup to end the first quarter with an 18-14 Nebraska lead.
Prince was the MVP of the second quarter. The freshman guard scored 10 points. She sparked Nebraska’s 15-0 run with four straight points. Prince was 2-of-2 from behind the arc in the second.

Petrie and Bozan added 3-pointers of their own as well. The Huskers went 4-of-8 from three in quarter two.
Nebraska outscored Wisconsin 24-12 in the second quarter and led 42-26 at the half. The Huskers went on an 18-2 run to take a massive lead.

Williams paced the Badgers with 10 first-half points. Prince recorded 12 points, and Petrie added 10 points in the first half.
Holding the lead
Markowski was big-time in the third quarter for the Huskers. She scored Nebraska’s first five points of the quarter. The center recorded eight points and two rebounds in the quarter after halftime.
Callin Hake and Moriarty each added two 3-pointers in the quarter. Moriarty scored eight points in the third and Hake added six.
Moriarty opened the fourth quarter with a fastbreak 3-pointer. Freshman forward Amiah Hargrove responded with a three of her own after a Carter McCray jumper in the paint.
Wisconsin didn’t score a bucket for over two minutes as the Huskers went on a 9-2 run. After five straight points from UW, Logan Nissley nailed back-to-back threes to go up 87-56.
Moriarty scored 15 points and was 3-of-4 from behind the arc in the second half.
Nebraska shot 54.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three. NU hit 16 3-pointers, a Pinnacle Bank Arena record. Their season high is 20 threes. They went 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.
