Nebraska's Brice Williams earns Big Ten Player of the Week

After putting on his best performance as a Husker in Nebraska’s blowout win over Indiana, Brice Williams took home his first Big Ten Player of the Week honor on Monday.
The senior guard scored a season-high 30 points and led NU with six rebounds and five assists in Friday night’s 85-68 victory. His point total was two shy of his career-high 32 while at Charlotte.
Williams becomes the first Husker to claim the honor since Alonzo Verge Jr. on Mar. 7, 2022.

“I was just taking what they were giving me,” Williams said after NU’s win over the Hoosiers. “It helped that my team was hitting shots and being aggressive early. We were playing strong, which helped a lot. After that, I was just attacking as much as I could, just taking what the defense gave me.”
He’s averaging 18.9 points per game on 50 percent shooting this season and is now up to four 20-point efforts.
