The inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament will played played from March 31 to April 6 in Las Vegas.

Nebraska’s NCAA Tournament hopes came to a disappointing end, but its 2024-25 season will officially continue with postseason play.

The Huskers (17-14) will participate in the inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament in Las Vegas. They will face Arizona State (13-19) in the first round of the 16-team tournament on Monday, March 31, at 7:30 pm CT.

The Crown runs through Sunday, April 6. The first two rounds will be played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, while T-Mobile Arena will host the semifinals and final. FS1 will air the opening two rounds, and FOX will televise the semifinals/finals.

Tickets for the Crown are available now at VividSeats.com.

“We are excited to have an opportunity to continue our season and play in the first-ever College Basketball Crown,” Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg said. “When we met as a team following the regular season, the players wanted a chance to continue playing. This has been a resilient group, and we are looking forward to a chance to play in the Crown.”

Led by head coach Bobby Hurley, the Sun Devils struggled through injuries and suspension during a frustrating campaign. ASU was down to just six available scholarship players at one point this season.

Should Nebraska advance past Arizona State, it would face the winner of Georgetown and Washington State in the second round. This will be the Huskers’ first meeting with the Sun Devils since 2008.

“When Nebraska was playing its best basketball this season, they were playing at a level where you thought maybe they could contend for the NCAA Tournament,” FOX and NBC college basketball analyst John Fanta said during the CBC bracket reveal show on FS1.

“Obviously, they didn’t get there, but in the College Basketball Crown, they’re going to be fighting for that crown. I think with Brice Williams and Juwan Gary and the balance of their attack, this is a Huskers team that can make a run. Again, they have several quality wins on their resume… So, to have them in the College Basketball Crown, I think, will be really exciting.”
