Opposite hitter Ryan Hunter commits to Nebraska volleyball, rounding out the Huskers' 2025 class
Nebraska volleyball has added its final class of 2025 player with a commitment from opposite hitter Ryan Hunter. The 6-foot-2 athlete from Charlotte, North Carolina committed to Nebraska shortly after attending its Dream Team Camp in Lincoln.
She is the No. 17 overall player in the class of 2025, according to PrepVolleyball.com, and the No. 35 player in the class by PrepDig.com.
Triangle 17 Black, Hunter’s club team, recently finished fifth in the 17 Open. She was named on the 17 Open GJNC all-tournament team while playing up a year.
Soon after, Hunter went to the Huskers’ Dream Team Camp where she showed off her quick arm and a good variety of shots. She has great potential and athleticism.
The 6-foot-2 opposite is a left-handed player, a huge advantage for opposite hitters.
At Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, NC, Hunter averaged 3.9 kills per set during her sophomore season. She had 338 kills with a .236 hitting percentage. The opposite had 54 blocks, 163 digs and 72 aces in 86 sets.

Nebraska volleyball 2023 Dream Team Camp Notebook
Hunter joins setter Campbell Flynn, libero/DS Keri Leimbach and outside hitter Teraya Sigler in the class of 2025. Both Flynn and Leimbach were at Nebraska Dream Team Camp on July 8-9 so Hunter could get to know her future teammates.
The Huskers were also recruiting Kansas City, Mo. opposite Abigail Mullen, the No. 1 player in the class.
Nebraska will have Caroline Jurevicius, a current freshman, and Hunter as true opposite hitters during the 2025 season.
