Outside hitter Gabby DiVita becomes first in Nebraska Volleyball's Class of 2026
Nebraska Volleyball has landed its first member of the class of 2026. Outside hitter Gabby DiVita announced her commitment to the Huskers on Sunday, June 16.
The 6-foot-1 pin hitter is the No. 9 overall player in the class of 2026, according to PrepVolleyball.com. She attends Grosse Pointe South in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and plays club for Legacy. Current Husker OH Harper Murray and 2025 Husker setter commit Campbell Flynn played/play for Legacy.
DiVita averaged 5.6 kills per set as a sophomore in 2023. She hit .445 with 522 kills in 94 sets. The 2026 athlete added 2.9 digs per set. Additionally, the Michigan native earned 53 service aces, averaging 0.6 per set, and 29 total blocks.

Legacy 15-1, including DiVita and Campbell, won the 2022 AAU Girls’ Junior National Championship.
DiVita has attended Nebraska’s Dream Team Camp in the past. She was able to see NU’s facilities and get to know its coaches.
On June 15, college coaches were able to recruit the class of 2026. Many players have already committed to their future schools, but DiVita is the first Husker. Nebraska is looking for at least one more outside hitter and a middle blocker.
