Pass-rushing specialist Edge Jaxon Lee commits to Nebraska
The Huskers have found pass-rushing help for the 2024 class. Nebraska offered Frisco (Texas) Lonestar Edge Jaxon Lee last week following Nebraska’s bye week. The 6-foot-3 and 215-pound pass rush specialist was committed to Texas Tech before re-opening his recruitment. Lee officially visited Nebraska for the Northwestern game and became the 28th commitment in the class.
Things moved fast between Nebraska and Jaxon Lee from offer to visit to commitment. The Huskers zeroed in on Lee, who can provide the pressure on the quarterback who is currently missing in the 2024 class.
“It was the environment, the coaches, accepting me as part of their family, and caring for my family as well,” Lee said.
“Nebraska handled the process great. They immediately went after my mom and dad. They asked to talk to my parents.”
Through eight games, Lee has 30 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hurries from his Edge position. Nebraska has told Lee they can see him playing the Jack linebacker position in their 3-3-5 defense.
Jaxon Lee makes connection with true freshman at Nebraska
Lee was hosted by freshman defensive lineman Cameron Lenhardt. The two really hit it off this past weekend in Lincoln.
“I feel like I connected with Cameron Lenhardt on my visit,” Lee said. “He’s a freshman there. We had a lot of similarities and connected well overall. He plays a similar position. He introduced me to everyone.”

Lee is a physical specimen. At a SFA camp this summer, he measured in at 6-foot-3 and 217 pounds and ran a 4.47, 40-yard dash. He is consistently clocked in the 4.5, 40 range, according to Lee.
Lee joins Willis McGahee IV as the other linebacker in the commitment class for Nebraska, and there are others in the class, like Roger Gradney, who could also play linebacker for Nebraska.
Nebraska is still in the market for help at cornerback. The Huskers will host Maryland cornerback commitment Larry Tarver next weekend. Nebraska is also interested in adding offensive tackle help and remains in the picture for four-star lineman Grant Brix.
Lee is not an early enroller. Lee is considering running track in the spring for Lonestar High School or he may just focus on working out before he leaves for Lincoln.
