Report: Ed Foley to join Nebraska coaching staff

Per a report from FOX Sports college football national analyst Bruce Feldman, Carolina Panthers assistant special teams coach Ed Foley will join Matt Rhule’s staff at Nebraska.

The report did not specify what Foley’s title would be with the Huskers, but he was an assistant head coach/special teams coordinator/tight ends coach under Rhule at Temple from 2013-16.

He followed Rhule to Baylor as an offensive analyst in 2019 and then spent the past three years with Rhule and the Panthers.

When Rhule left Temple for Baylor in 2016, Foley was the interim head coach. He also served as the Owls’ interim head coach in 2018.
