Senior Woman Administrator Marquita Armstead no longer at Nebraska
Senior Woman Administrator Marquita Armstead is no longer with Nebraska Athletics, a University Source has confirmed with HuskerOnline. NU is currently searching for a new Senior Woman Administrator.
Armstead served as Nebraska’s Senior Woman Administrator from February of 2022 to June of 2024. She was also the sports supervisor for men’s basketball and volleyball while participating in the Big Ten Sport Management Council.
Armstead oversaw athletic medicine, sports psychology, the athletic performance lab (NAPL), strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, Title IX and gender equity.

Beforehand, she was a South Florida athletics administrator from 2016-2022. She was hired as an Associate Athletic Director for Compliance before advancing to a Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator role in August of 2017.

New Husker Athletic Director Troy Dannen made a change at Nebraska’s Chief Operating Officer as well. He brought in Haven Fields, who he worked with briefly at Washington.
Nebraska Softball Coach Rhonda Revelle served as NU’s Woman Administrator from 2006-08 and could be a good option now. Pat Logsdon, who won the 2021-22 Dr. Barbara Hibner Trailblazer Award, served from 2008-21 before retiring. Armstead took over after Logsdon’s retirement.
