Nebraska offered Tarver in October and hosted him for an official visit on October 28th. Tarver enjoyed the visit to Lincoln and clearly the Huskers were in a good position as he reported that he planned to announce his commitment on signing day between Maryland and Nebraska.

Tarver is an excellent cornerback with elite speed that could push for early playing time at Nebraska. He was a district champion in the 100-meter and 200-meter, runs a 10.6-second 100-meter, and 21.5-second 200-meter.
He was a second-team all-district selection having played cornerback and also did kickoff and punt returns. Tarver finished the season with seven interceptions, 10 passes broken up, and three touchdowns (including a game where he had two, pick sixes).
