Nebraska needed to add proven depth to its frontcourt, and the Huskers did that in a big way by landing a commitment from Washington transfer big man Braxton Meah.

The 7-foot-1, 250-pound graduate transfer announced his pledge to NU following an official visit to Lincoln on Sunday and Monday. The trip was his first and only visit after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal last week.

A native of Layton, Utah, Meah spent two seasons at Fresno State before joining the Huskies in 2022-23. He set career highs with 8.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game to earn Pac-12 All-Defense honors as a junior.

A lingering ankle and hand injury hindered him much this past season, but Meah played through the ailments and averaged 5.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg, leading UW with 27 blocked shots.
